About Us
At Goodwood, people, process, and quality come together under one roof. Operating from a fully integrated facility in Central Java, the company oversees every stage of production, from material preparation and design through to assembly and hand-finishing. This closeness between departments is what makes the work possible. Collections are developed in-house, rooted in three decades of material knowledge and shaped by an architectural sensibility that draws as much from structural engineering as it does from contemporary design. The aim is always the same: to create outdoor furniture that complements its setting, elevates the space around it, and lasts.
Our philosophy
How the materials we use shape the way we work
At Goodwood, teak is not simply selected for its durability, but for the discipline it demands. Its density, natural oils, and structural stability shaped the way the company learned to work. From the earliest days in Central Java, understanding the behavior of teak was not optional; it was foundational. The material required patience, control, and a refusal to accept inconsistency.
How the materials we use shape the way we work
Teak's response to humidity, climate, and time forced the development of controlled drying systems, stabilized environments, and precise preparation methods. Over time, the character of teak defined the character of the factory. Moisture control, structured workflows, and measured tolerances were introduced to protect its integrity long before surface finishing began. The company's standards were not invented in abstraction. They were formed through daily interaction with a material that rewards precision and exposes shortcuts. The philosophy that guides Goodwood today was shaped by this relationship: respect the material, build discipline around it, and allow quality to emerge from preparation rather than correction.
Goodwood works with retail, wholesale, and hospitality partners worldwide, offering flexible manufacturing solutions built on the same standards that define every collection. Whether adapting an existing design or developing something entirely new, the approach is always the same: full oversight, certified materials, and consistent quality at any scale.
Our Capabilities
Our Capabilities
Private Label Manufacturing
Goodwood produces furniture under partner brands, handling everything from production to packaging and labelling. Each piece is built to the same specification and quality standard as Goodwood's own collections, ensuring consistency and integrity regardless of whose name is on the product. Partners benefit from full access to the company's material range, finishing options, and quality control processes.
For partners with their own designs, Goodwood manufactures from technical drawings and specifications, with the option to adapt existing catalog pieces with different finishes, materials, or dimensions. The in-house design and engineering team works closely with clients to ensure every detail is resolved before production begins. This collaborative approach reduces lead times and ensures the final product meets expectations.
OEM & Custom Solutions
Goodwood supplies furniture for hospitality, commercial, and residential projects, working directly with designers and procurement teams to deliver complete packages on schedule. From boutique hotels to large-scale resort programmes, the company's integrated production model manages high-volume, project-specific requirements without compromising on quality or lead times. Past projects include the Park Hyatt, Ritz-Carlton, and Nikki Beach.
FF&E Solutions
Material preparation sets the tone for everything at Goodwood. Based in Central Java, Indonesia, the brand operates a modern, fully equipped production facility where this stage is treated as the most critical part of the process. All timber is dried in-house under controlled conditions, with moisture content carefully monitored and brought to precise specifications. Nothing advances to production until the material meets the standard. Precision and control begin here.
Material Preparation
Precision manufacturing begins the moment material leaves preparation. On the production floor, advanced machinery and structured workflows handle cutting, shaping, joinery, and assembly under full in-house control. Integrated planning systems track every component, ensuring that tolerances are met and consistency is maintained regardless of order size. From a single collection to a complete hospitality fit-out, the standard does not change.
Production and Assembly
This is where craft takes over from machinery. Every piece is sanded by hand, with skilled craftspeople running their fingers across every surface, every edge, every joint. The standard is not visual alone. It is tactile. A piece is not finished until it feels right in the hand. Goodwood provides a range of surface finishing options, from natural smooth sanding through to custom finishes and treatments tailored to specific project needs. The attention given at this stage is what separates volume production from furniture built with genuine care.
Sanding and Finishing
People are at the centre of everything Goodwood produces. Over 250 skilled professionals work across design, engineering, production, finishing, and quality control, all from a single facility. Their experience, many with over a decade at the company, is what allows Goodwood to maintain its standard of craft at scale. Creative direction is led by Brice van der Post, who works closely with every department to ensure that design intent is carried through to the finished piece. The business is built on machinery and systems, but it is defined by its people.
